@01:28Loved the vibraphone piece and hearing it through the whole film.

The narration was well styled for the childrens-story motif and reminded me of the clever narration in Magnolia.

A short film made for the 48 hour film project for Portland, Maine in 2007. Written, directed, shot, edited with all post-production work and motion graphics done in 48 hours.

Won:
Best Film
Best Cinematography
Best Writing
Best Graphics

We had to include a genre, a prop, a character and a line of dialog (none of which we knew ahead of time but all of which had to be included in the finished film).

Genre: Buddy Film
Prop: a book end
Character: Bert Didier - Tree Expert
Line of Dialog: "We don't have time for this"

or "amelie" for short. very similar.
